Our Emergency Rescue Team consists of volunteers from all walks of life—from the medical field, firefighters, and business owners to the horse enthusiast, with everything in between. Since 2014, our rescue team has grown from three members to nine. These nine members collectively hold 30 plus certifications from FEMA, Code 3, ASAR and other accredited agencies. These certifications cover everything from basic CPR and first aid to large animal rescue operations whether due to a traffic accident, injury or natural disaster.
These volunteers must undergo extensive training regularly to keep their certifications current. This year some of them added their swift water rescue certification.
Our team has been part of traffic accidents, illness, injury, tornado, massive fires and hurricane rescue operations this year; as well as assisting local law enforcement agencies in rescuing abused and/or neglected horses.
