Teddy was rescued in April, 2009.  He is approximately 25 years old and was abandoned.  He is one of the sweetest horses you'll ever meet.  With his beautiful eyes and wonderful color, this horse would make a great companion for other horses and will probably be great for kids.  He loves attention and has never shown any kind of aggression.  Teddy has had his teeth floated, and is still working on putting on weight but is ready for adoption.

Rascle and Rebel

Rascle and Rebel were rescued in January, 2009.  These guys are quite a pair.  Inseparable!  They are in their mid twenties and will make someone great companions and could possibly be used a kid horse.  Rascle needs to learn his manners.  Since he has regained his health, he sometimes doesn't realize just how big he is and will try to run over you.  He really just wants all of the attention.  Rebel lets him have the attention.  Rebel is a little stand offish, but when you watch him trot he has a wonder gate.  Both have had their teeth floated and are ready for adoption.

The Largest Rescue

In May of 2009, Safe Haven Rescue was called to rescue 23 horses in the Hallsville area.  Many people volunteered their time, vehicles and trailers to save these horses spirits.  Still today, Safe Haven is continuing to try to adopt these horses out.  We have two horses with babies, two horses that are pregnant, quit a few studs and a lot of young horses.  Sometimes the age of a horse can cause problems, when they are too young or if they are too old.  These horses have recovered nicely and are available to see for adoption.  Please call our office and we would love to show you the beautiful horses we have today.
